Chiara Kickdrum has been paving a distinct path for herself throughout her prosperous music career. She composes, she DJ's, she produces, she plays live. She is consistent in her unbending will of mastery in the electronic music field, specifically techno & electro.
For as many years as Arteq has been around, we have been fan-girling Chiara. She stands tall, and confident, and has always engaged in a quality body of work.
During the day-time, she leads the thriving Melbourne arts scene with intricate, masterful composition works through her Chiara Costanza identity. At night, the Kickdrum comes out.
One moment, ambience, and within the blink of an eye, broken drums, and driving acid.

What direction did you take on the podcast?
Podcast is a mix of some of my favourite electro and techno of late.
Why did you decide to go this way?
Don’t know. I never plan my sets. It just came naturally.
What's in the pipeline for Chiara Kickdrum?
With clubs being closed, not much.. Been working on new music and focusing on screen composition.

Okay, you're in the studio, about to start a new track. What's the first 3 things you do?
Turn on my gear and start on an idea with a piece of equipment or sample. See where it takes me.
How have you been during the turbulent year of 2020?
Ups and downs as for everyone. I’ve had a couple of great projects that kept me busy during lockdown which kept me sane. I’ve been mediating a lot, exercising and focusing on a healthy diet.
Is there anything on your mind that you would like to say?
