What direction did you take on the podcast?
I’ve approached this podcast putting together some records I may not get the opportunity to play in sets. Some steezy melodic rhythms and emotion filled breaks, what I’m really into at the moment.
Why did you decide to go this way?
Lately I’ve been trying to find records that speak to me on all levels, a mixture of eclectic sounds, rhythms that instantly make you want to move but also melodies that take your mind on a journey. A lot of music that gives me inspiration for my owns production.
What did you use to record this mix?
I have some decks at home so this mix was recorded live.
You have released some incredible music on well-established, world renowned record labels. What release are you most proud of?
That's a really tough question as I'm definitely proud of all the music I’ve put out however I think Alive ft Laura King is the one that stands out. It’s the first record I’ve written that I’ve had requests to play during sets, amazing feedback form my peers as well and watching Dosem play it at Printworks in London was a very special feeling.
What drives you to create, produce, and to DJ?
From a creative and production standpoint I find inspiration everywhere, it can range from emotions and how I’m feeling personally, to a particular moment in life that I remember and trying to re create that atmosphere. I’m also very meticulous in my approach to writing music a lot of my upcoming releases I’ve already thought of ideas and concepts I want to draw on well ahead of the create process, so when it comes time to start writing I already have an idea of exactly where I want to take the record. On the DJ side of things it’s pretty simple, I play records that I would want to hear if I was in the middle of the dancefloor.
What is the favourite gig you have played and why?
My favourite gig was actually recently, I was lucky enough to headline Under the Lamp an intimate event ran by the Sound Project guys, the atmosphere that night was like nothing I had ever experienced, don’t get my wrong some of the bigger festival slots I’ve played are incredible but when your in a small venue everyone on the same page just vibing to a set you’ve specifically tailor made for that moment it doesn’t get much better than that.
What’s in the pipeline for the rest of 2022?
2022 is actually a huge transition year for me as I finished up my time with Recovery Collective as the A&R/label manager as my pursuit for my own personal goals is what I’m striving for with some big things in the works. Next month a have my biggest release to date coming out on one of my favourite international labels which is a huge milestone for me as an artist. Stay tuned for that announcement On top of that I have a locked in a bunch of other releases it’s been almost 12 months since my last release so excited to share new music. Aside from that I’m back at Elements Festival in October and pushing to lock in a few more bigger slots and releases to round the year out.

What do you see for yourself in the next 3-5 years? What have you accomplished?
The next few years for me is to further establish myself as an artist from a production stand point, I’m hoping this next release is that stepping stone I need to elevate into that next realm of Australian artists. Growing my brand on a global scale, being able to put some of the major ideas I've been working on into fruition. The main goal I have for the next few years is my debut album which I’ve been planning for some time that it the major milestone I want to tick off.
There’s 10 minutes left before the world self destructs, what song do you put on?
If we are talking electronic music, Deadmau5 - Strobe is my go to for sure.
Is there anything on your mind that you would like to say?
It's always a pleasure to be able to share my creative process and also delve a little deeper into the way my mind works as an artist so I appreciate you guys for supporting me and sharing your platform to collaborate with. I encourage everyone who has a creative gift to never stop being create, share that gift to the world there is no better feeling.
