Ricky Nord joins Arteq for the 60th podcast with a steaming mix filled with progressive trance, driving techno, and no non-sense fast dance music.
This is one for the books. Please welcome Ricky Nord to Arteq. We will be seeing him at an Arteq event real soon.
Let the music do the talking here. Enjoy the beats!

What direction did you take on the podcast?
I wanted to showcase some of the cool older prog & tasteful psy that I have been digging of late, so early on there's a bit of that. As the mix progresses it builds into a bit more of a heavier techno and trance vibe, with lots of euphoric melodies. It was super fun recording this and I love playing faster BPM's when I can.
Who are some of your favourite artists atm?
- Mabel (Naarm)
- Dina (Germany)
- DJ Hyperdrive (Germany)
- Suki (Naarm)
Tell us about your favorite set that you played in 2022?
My favourite set of 2022 would probably be closing XE54 after my friend STÜM. He drew a huge crowd and the place was wall to wall, the energy there was wild. But my favourite set I think I have ever played was at Let Them Eat Cake which just scrapes out of 2022 by one day... that place is truly magical to play at and the crowd was so amazing and I was so thankful and grateful for them to be dancing so hard at 3pm when it was 36 degrees!
What do you hope to accomplish in 2023?
Hoping to continue to develop my podcast (Club Elevate) and release a VA (aiming for September). Then on a DJ level, I want to play an all vinyl set out and about, I think my crate needs to be shared with the world as I have heaps of cool 90s prog and trance that I would love to play.
There's 10 minutes left before the world self-destructs, what song do you put on?
Electric Feel - MGMT
Anything fun, exciting, or special coming up for you?
Playing a few gigs throughout Feb / March / April and have some pretty exciting guests coming on Club Elevate.
