62 podcasts in and we are joined by long-life Arteq friend Amutton, who previously joined us for a special set at our 2020 Bushfire Fundraiser, and now returns with a stellar mix for the Arteq community.
For sixty-four glorious minutes, Adam lays down some exotic nu-disco, tech-house, and ethereal techno. We absolutely loved listening to this at Arteq, and we know you will too.
Adam, thank you. We will see you at an Arteq event soon, in control of the dancefloor once again. Enjoy the beats fam!

More from Arteq and Amutton below.
What direction did you take on the podcast?
I played a variety of indie dance & melodic tunes. I tried to capture my taste in music that’s evolved throughout the years into an hour and 4 minute set.
Why did you decide to go this way?
I really enjoyed having the freedom to mix the music I’m into with no limits so it just kind of happened naturally.
What did you use to record this mix?
Pioneer DJ XDJ-RR.
What drives you to DJ?
I’m friends with a lot of great musicians and I enjoy having DJ’ing & music in general as a creative outlet. I like being around live music and going to gigs to see DJ’s and bands.
As I answer this I’m fresh off seeing Âme, Jennifer Cardini & Traxion in the one weekend so that brings a lot of drive hearing incredible music at good events.
I’ve also always found it fun to play music for people.

What is the favourite gig you have played and why?
Arteq Bushfire Fundraiser in 2020 was a special one to be apart of due to the circumstances of what was going on in Australia at the time and the money you guys were able to raise. Was a great event and a fun set.
Also shoutout to my old band Renegade Joe and the local Christmas Eve gig we played in front of close friends and family in 2015 which was also one of my favourites.
What’s in the pipeline for the rest of 2023?
I want to stay involved in all the things my friends are doing in the music scene in Melbourne. Xpress, Arteq, Supernature & ATET are spearheaded by great people and great musicians creating good music communities which is fun to be apart of.
What do you see for yourself in the next 3-5 years?
Working hard, travelling, enjoying life with my friends & family and playing more gigs.
There’s 10 minutes left before the world self destructs, what song do you put on?
Lose Yourself to Dance – Daft Punk Pyro – Kings of Leon
I can fit both of them in the 10 minute window thankfully.
Is there anything on your mind that you would like to say?
Thankyou Arteq for the opportunity to release this set. We miss your events.
